IMH Ward 20
This ward at the Institute of Mental Health was an interesting one as there had been drawings done in colour pencils by a patient. Elements such as the purple cat, crescent moon, owl, xmas tree, parrot, a Macdonalds meal and fruits (bottom left) were drawn by the patient. The management of the ward decided that me and my team got to step in to make the walls fun-filled, energetic and connected as the existing drawings were separated far from each other. The elements drawn by the patient were kept but were painted instead of having it in colour pencils. Clouds, rainbows, silhouette of human figures, sun, tree, night scene, hot air balloon and ice-cream truck were added on by me.

The official store of Lomo finally landed in Singapore, located at South Bridge Road. Its official opening was on 071211, at 7pm, and Lomo enthusiasts were already waiting excitedly outside before opening doors.
Me and a friend of mine, Hanzhi Khoo were invited to paint/illustrate on the pillars outside the store during the opening event.
Left Pillar – Hanzhi Khoo’s / Right Pillar – 1G’s
It was a crazy night indeed. The opening was a success I must say, from the time the door opened till the time of the event ended, people were constantly going in and out of the store. The place was jam-packed with beautiful people. Lucky draws were given out, a band was playing and of course camera flashes were everywhere. We didn’t manage to complete the pillars on that night but did came back 2 days later to complete it.
Anyways big ups to Lomography Gallery Store Singapore and to my friend Hakimbo Hakim for inviting me and Hanzhi Khoo. This is the first work that I collaborated with Hanzhi who is amazing in her illustrations. Not forgetting Fadzil and Fadilah who assisted us in painting some parts of the pillars.
